About

Can You Have Freedom and Connection? Yes!

Authenticity, self-love, personal responsibility, and empowerment are necessary ingredients for fulfilling lives and relationships. However, socialization often encourages us to follow fundamentally different guidelines. When we follow all the "rules" but do not get the life or love we want, we may suffer from feelings of anger, frustration, fear, grief, resentment, and helplessness. We may also experience profound loneliness, which can be especially profound when it occurs within relationship with others. In this state, we may become lost, living in fear over our current or future fantasies, and denying ourselves and each other love, acceptance, and compassion. I believe that increasing attunement and acceptance towards oneself - in essence forming an attachment to the self - leads to empowerment, which provides the strength and confidence necessary to live a meaningful life and deeply connect to others. I aim to be a candid yet compassionately motivating guide to increased experimentation, bravery, and intimacy to help people develop a clear sense of self and, when working with couples, compassionately disentangle from and redesign relationship dynamics that are causing pain. ABOUT ME: I left my executive identity and management consulting nearly a decade ago to identify what was truly important to me, then find and seek to fulfill my life's purpose. My life's purpose is simply: Love. Yet, Love is not a simple thing, nor is it easily defined. I define Love as acceptance, wholeness, living in alignment and integrity, and working on Being, that is, actively experiencing, engaging in, and taking responsibly for my decisions and actions towards myself, others, and the earth. I bring this focus--finding, accepting, and living in and through Love--to all I pursue. I am not always successful! But each day, experiment, and experience reminds me it is worthwhile. It is my sincere joy to help others find their way into their authentic selves where they can let go of unnecessary suffering to experience and share Love with themselves and others.

Testimonials

“I was struggling to find the fire and meaning in my relationship, and sometimes felt like I would never be truly seen or understood. Rachel helped us build a common cause, a shared process, and a language for moments when I would start to shut down...”

Past Client

“We saw Rachel for a year. She was always fair, 100% there and focused. She used amazing skill and perseverance with my resistant husband and was hands down the best couples therapist we had seen. She encouraged us to be curious and outcome oriented...”

Existing Client, Now Individual Therapy

“Rachel is an excellent therapist--perceptive, creative, exceedingly smart. We came early in our relationship; she helped us get more present, communicative, and tolerant of our anxiety... I love her for seeing what's under the surface and guiding us...”
